Anchoring: (NLP) Techniques to Get in The Divine State of Mind

Anchoring is a technique that is used by many people unknowingly and can be used intentionally with NLP techniques.

Anchors are triggers for different states of mind; you may want to feel more confident when making a business phone call and an anchor can grant access to the confidence you have in other situations that are not currently available when making business phone calls.

Anchoring is not just for positive emotions, but to feel a specific way. Anchors can be set up in different ways and are very powerful when used intentionally with NLP techniques.

Anchoring works well because you already have certain states of mind that come effortlessly to you; anchoring simply gives you access to these states easily by using an anchor or multiple anchors.

Anchoring can be used for any state of mind, even negative emotions that you may need to avoid in certain situations; this would work by using a different anchor or multiple anchors when the unwanted emotion is present.

Anchors are created through an internal or external stimulus which then leads to a response. The stimulus doesn’t have to be a conscious one, and it is possible to create anchors with certain words or sounds.

Anchors can also be created when you think about something that then leads to the feelings associated with that thought; this type of anchor has been referred to as an “internal” anchor because there was no external stimulus involved in creating the response.

We all know that having a positive mindset is important for success, but it’s hard to stay focused on our goals when we are constantly being distracted by the negative things around us.

When you hear someone complaining about their job, or how busy they are, it can be easy to fall into this trap of negativity. But if you don’t want your day ruined by other people’s problems then you have to learn how to tune them out and focus on what matters most.

We hope this article has given you a good start on understanding what NLP anchoring is, when and how to use it, as well as some other practical considerations.
